For most corded tools, we’d pick the Jackery Explorer 2000 v2. Its 4,400 W surge rating gives motors the most room to start, and it’s much lighter than the other 2 kWh model here. If you run several tools at once, the BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 has more continuous output.
Output and surge figures come from published specs we checked in November 2026. We haven’t run tools on these models.
Quick comparison
| Model | AC output | Listed peak | Capacity | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 | 2,200 W | 4,400 W surge | 2,042 Wh | 39.5 lb |
| BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 | 2,600 W | No surge figure found | 2,073.6 Wh | 53.4 lb |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 | 2,000 W | 3,000 W peak | 1,024 Wh | 24.9 lb |
How to check a tool
Most corded tools list amps on the label. In the US, multiply the amps by 120 volts to get the watts:
Amps × 120 = watts
| Tool label | Watts |
|---|---|
| 7 amps | 840 W |
| 10 amps | 1,200 W |
| 12 amps | 1,440 W |
| 15 amps | 1,800 W |
Your station’s AC output should be above that number. Motors also draw extra power for a moment as they start, so leave some headroom, especially for saws and compressors. Models rated at 1,500 W, such as the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2, are a poor match for a 15-amp tool.
How long will it last?
Tools rarely run non-stop, so real runtime is usually much longer than the figures below. These show the worst case for a 15-amp tool running at its full 1,800 W, at 85% efficiency.
| Model | Non-stop runtime at 1,800 W |
|---|---|
| Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 | About 58 minutes |
| BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 | About 59 minutes |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 | About 29 minutes |
Jackery Explorer 2000 v2: best for most job sites
It has the highest surge rating here, which helps with hard-starting motors. At 39.5 lb, it’s also 13.9 lb lighter than the BLUETTI, which adds up if you move it between rooms or sites. Jackery lists a full AC charge in about 1.75 hours.
Who it's for: Households that want about 2 kWh one person can move, with no plans to expand.
Strengths
- About 2 kWh at 39.5 lb
- 4,400 W surge rating
- LFP battery
Weaknesses
- Heavier to move than 1 kWh models
- Not expandable
BLUETTI Elite 200 V2: best continuous output
With 2,600 W of continuous output, you have more room to run a saw and a shop vac together. BLUETTI’s 3,900 W Power Lifting Mode is for pure resistive loads, such as heaters, so don’t count on it for motors.
Who it's for: People who stay parked, run on solar, and don't need to carry their station far.
Strengths
- About 2 kWh in one unit
- 1,000 W of solar input
- LiFePO4 battery
Weaknesses
- Heavy to carry at 53.4 lb
- Car input is only 96 W on 12V or 192 W on 24V
Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2: easiest to carry
This is the one to grab for quick repairs and small jobs. It handles a 15-amp tool on paper, but it has half the capacity of the others. Anker lists a 49-minute full charge, which helps if you can plug in over lunch.
Who it's for: People who want about 1 kWh and 2,000 W in a portable box, and don't need to add batteries.
Strengths
- 49-minute full AC charge
- 2,000 W output, 3,000 W peak
- Rated to keep 80% capacity after 4,000 cycles
Weaknesses
- Not expandable
- Lower solar input than the DELTA 3 Plus
Job site tips
- Use a heavy enough cord: a long, thin extension cord can starve a tool of power. Check that the cord is rated for the tool’s amps.
- Charge cordless batteries from it: this uses far less power than running a big corded tool.
- Protect it from dust and water: check the manual, and keep it away from cutting debris.
- Follow your site’s rules: ask whether you need GFCI protection for the setup you’re using.
Not sure about the numbers? Read watts vs. watt-hours, or try the runtime calculator.
How to choose
- Read the label on your biggest tool. Convert amps to watts with the formula above.
- Compare it with the AC output. Leave headroom for motors to start.
- Add up tools you’ll run together. If you often run two at once, the Elite 200 V2 has the most output here.
- Think about the carry. The range here is 24.9 lb to 53.4 lb.
FAQ
Can the C1000 Gen 2 run a 15-amp saw?
On paper, yes. A 15-amp tool works out to 1,800 W, which is under its 2,000 W output, and Anker lists a 3,000 W peak. Try your own tool before you rely on it for a job.
Does BLUETTI’s Power Lifting Mode help with motors?
BLUETTI says the 3,900 W mode supports pure resistive loads, so don’t plan on it for motors.
How do I work out watts for two tools?
Add their watts together. Two 10-amp tools come to 2,400 W, which is above the Jackery’s 2,200 W output but within the BLUETTI’s 2,600 W.
